Cullimore Dutton Solicitors support local charities this Christmas11-Dec-2018

We are spreading Christmas joy this festive season with a range of support and sponsorships for Chester-based charities.

Firstly, we are delighted to be the official sponsor of one of the most eagerly anticipated and prestigious festive events of the season, the Countess Charity's Christmas Carol Concert at the Duke of Westminster’s Eaton estate.

The event, by kind permission of the Duke of Westminster, takes place on Thursday 20 December and includes a carol concert in the private chapel at Eaton Hall followed by seasonal refreshments in the impressive Long Room. This year, the event is in aid of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Appeal, which is fundraising for a state of the art 'CPEX Treadmill' (Cardio Pulmonary Exercise Testing).

The new equipment is an integrated system for making accurate and reliable metabolic measurements for any patients who have suffered a heart attack, gone through major heart surgery, had complex devices fitted or have diagnosis of heart failure.

Hoole Senior’s Christmas Lunch
In addition, we have also donated £100 to the Hoole Community Centre towards the purchase of turkeys for the annual senior citizens’ Christmas Lunch at the centre. Solicitors Stuart Hill (Residential Conveyancing) and Phil Appleby (Wills, Trusts & Estates), popped along to meet members of the centre and present a cheque for the turkey fund monies.

Our staff have also been fundraising for the local charities of their choice throughout the year, culminating in a series of cheque presentations and support for events totalling well over £1,000.

Rod’s Money for Myeloma
The team have been raising money for the Rod’s Myeloma Appeal in memory of Family Lawyer, Susan Alexander’s husband. Susan presented a cheque for £851.51 to appeal supporters Sally Peel and Jane Hill.

Chester Santa Dash
Finally, Carol Thompson from our Commercial Team completed the recent Chester Santa Dash, raising £200 in aid of two of Chester's local charities The Hospice of the Good Shepherd and the Countess Charity.

“We have a long history of supporting local charities, clubs and organisations throughout the year, but it is always a special pleasure to bring some festive cheer over the Christmas season to charities who do so much to help the people of Chester and the wider region,” said MD, Andy Wright. “These organisations do a great job. We are a people first firm, so it is particularly pleasing to help those helping others.”
