Lesley joined the firm in 1985 and has developed a strong reputation for her thorough subject knowledge, friendly professionalism and ability to focus on individual client needs.
Lesley has expertise in all aspects of residential property work including sales, purchases and remortgages.
Lesley also specialises in charitable and ecclesiastical property including acting in acquisitions, disposals and mortgages of charity land in accordance with Charities Acts requirements. This includes acting for the Chester Diocesan Board of Finance, the Church Commissioners for England, incumbents, and numerous parochial church councils. She works closely with the Charity Commission and local education authorities.
Lesley provides practical and specialist advice in respect of a broad range of charitable and ecclesiastical trust and corporate property matters including parsonage houses, redevelopments and new builds, adverse possessions and first registrations, churchyards, redundant churches, burial grounds, glebe land, church halls and parochial church council land.
Lesley is a member of the Charity Law Association and the Ecclesiastical Law Society.
Outside work Lesley enjoys walking in the countryside with her family and their dog. Lesley is a keen supporter of the performing arts and is a charity trustee. Music, theatre, film, art or comedy are on the agenda for most weekends, along with a good book, a glass of wine and perhaps even some football!
