Rory is a graduate of Cambridge University and was made a Partner at the firm upon his qualification as a Solicitor in 1975.

Rory specialises in the following areas:

  • Commercial property: sales, purchases and leases
  • Agricultural property including agricultural tenancies and mineral leases
  • Company and Partnership advice for owner managed businesses and professional partnerships
  • Business sales and purchases, with a particular interest in the sale and purchase of accountancy practices
  • Wills and tax planning for farmers and business owners

Rory is a member of the Agricultural Law Association and a past President of both the Chester & North Wales Law Society and the Association of North Western Law Societies. Rory also lectures and writes on legal topics for solicitors and lay groups.

Rory is married with two adult children.  In his spare time he enjoys music, walking, fishing and golf. Rory is a member of a chamber choir and was a non-executive director of Chester Summer Music Festival for twenty years.
