Mortgage Adviser
Job Role: Mortgage Adviser
Department: Financial Services
Location: Chester
Term: Permanent, Full-time
Experience: 12 Months
Salary: Competitive, DOE + benefits
MORTGAGE ADVISER: THE ROLE
We have a vacancy for a full-time Mortgage Adviser to join our Financial Services team to competently provide mortgage and protection financial advice to clients within regulatory rules and guidance
Your responsibilities will include:
Identify and contact potential clients. Gather sufficient client information and identify client needs.
Analyse information gathered and undertake sufficient research to make suitable recommendations.
Complete all supporting documentation in an accurate manner.
Keep up to date with new product, technical or legislative changes within the mortgage and protection marketplace.
Comply at all times with the Compliance, Training and Competence Procedures of the firm.
Comply at all times with the requirements of the FCA including the Senior Managers and Certification rules.
Attain and maintain competent status as defined by the Regulator and the firm.
Recognise, respect and honour client confidentiality at all times
MORTGAGE ADVISER: THE PERSON
You will need a professional and positive attitude, strong interpersonal and organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team, together with the following skills:
Ability to interpret data and to analyse where existing procedures and practices can be improved.
Excellent standard of written & verbal communication
Ability to empathise and build strong business relationships with our clients other staff and strategic partners.
Possess the ability to work using your own initiative, the preferred candidate must have a can-do attitude and possess the ability to search out solutions.
Ability to manage own time, workload and ensure that all contractual obligations are met with partner firms; and
Good computer knowledge and skills, must be comfortable with Microsoft Word and Excel
MORTGAGE ADVISER: QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
You will need a minimum of 12 months experience in a similar role along with the following qualifications:
Essential
• Mortgage Advice qualification
• Level 3 Mortgage qualification
• Financial Planning qualification
Preferred
• Level 3 Equity Release qualification
• Level 1 Home Reversion qualification.

PRIVATE CLIENT PARALEGAL: THE ROLE
We have a vacancy for a full-time Private Client Paralegal to join our Wills, Trusts & Estates department.
Your responsibilities will include:
Experience of Will Drafting, Trusts and Administration of Estates
Experienced in Inheritance Tax Planning and Probate would be advantageous
Maintain a professional attitude and effective communication between Clients, Fee Earners, team members and colleagues
Take detailed and accurate information from enquiries
Chase documents upon instruction
Provide a first-rate service to clients, both internal and external; presenting a positive image of the Firm at all times
Recognise, respect and honour client confidentiality at all times
PRIVATE CLIENT PARALEGAL: THE PERSON
You will need a flexible approach and the ability to work as part of a team, together with the following skills:
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
An attention to detail
Excellent communication skills (telephone/in person)
Time management skills & an ability to prioritise where necessary
Prior experience of working as a Private Client Paralegal

CONVEYANCING PARALEGAL: THE ROLE
We have a vacancy for a full-time Conveyancing Paralegal to join our Residential Conveyancing department.
Your responsibilities will include:
Maintain a professional attitude and effective communications between clients, fee earners, team members and colleagues.
Take detailed and accurate information from enquiries.
Assisting a team of conveyancing solicitors in progressing legal work.
Assisting a team of conveyancing solicitors to set up and deal with completion and post completion matters.
Draft and issue legal documents
Supporting our Compliance Officer with CQS accreditation and lender panels administration.
Chase documents upon instruction
Provide a first-rate service to clients, both internal and external; presenting a positive image of Cullimore Dutton at all times.

CONVEYANCING PARALEGAL: THE PERSON
You will need a flexible approach and the ability to work as part of a team, together with the following skills:

Legal Cashier
Job Role: Legal Cashier
Department: Business Services
Location: Chester
Term: Permanent
Salary: £17,000 - £21,500 DOE + benefits
LEGAL CASHIER: THE ROLE
To support the Head Cashier with all day to day accounting activities ensuring the department is run smoothly and efficiently, while practicing strict adherence to the SRA Accounts Rules.
Your responsibilities will include:
Complete daily banking reconciliations for both the client and office accounts.
Process client and office cheque receipts and the daily banking.
Process daily transactional postings such as cheque requests, search journals, petty cash, interest calculations, client to client transfers.
Process incoming and outgoing electronic transactions.
Check and post all client bills.
Process debit and credit card payments.
Process deposits and withdrawals to and from Client Monies Services deposit account.
Post supplier invoices to the purchase ledger and ensure payments are processed in accordance with payment terms.
Maintain strict records for Shares and Valuables held by Cullimore Dutton and complete an annual audit.
Send closed files to off-site storage and request and record destruction as required.
Ensure all transactions are recorded correctly and the firm's policies and procedures are strictly followed to maintain compliance.
Monitor Aged Debt.
Any other duties reasonably requested.
LEGAL CASHIER: THE PERSON
All applications are welcome, an experienced Legal Cashiers with a thorough knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules is preferred but not essential as full training can be given.
Excellent time management, organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for this role. A willingness to be flexible around busier times such as month and year end and the ability to work as part of a team are also essential.
