Coronavirus continues to dominate the news with major implications globally. 

We wanted to take this opportunity to reassure our clients and partners that we have contingency plans in place should the situation deteriorate and to outline our key priorities, which are:

1. Ensuring the health and well-being of our clients and staff

2. Ensuring that we are able to continue to support and advise our clients

3. Ensuring the security and confidentiality of our clients’ affairs at all times

This statement details some of the specific actions that we have taken.

The health and well-being of our Clients and Employees
The health, safety and well-being of our clients and staff will always be our first priority. As such we are following and implementing the following:

Hand sanitisers and tissues are widely available throughout our offices for both staff and clients and we have implemented a no handshake policy.

To reduce the risk of the virus spreading we have asked staff to suspend any networking activity and where possible to arrange for face-to-face meetings to be held via other means. Our teams remain available to take telephone calls and will continue responding to emails.

If you are planning to visit our offices and in the last 14 days, you have:

  • Travelled to any areas the FCO have advised against travelling to Here
  • been in close contact with people who have visited those locations, or
  • been in close contact with anyone who has or is suspected to have Coronavirus
  • please follow the government advice and postpone your visit.

    At this stage we are continuing to operate our business as usual. We are reviewing this daily and if our position changes we will publish details on our website and social media platforms.

    Being prepared
    As is best practise, we have a Business Continuity Plan identifying the requirements for each area of the business to function under a wide range of scenarios. The implementation of this plan has now begun. Its implementation will ensure that we are prepared to deal with the kind of challenges which the Coronavirus presents and that we are taking sensible precautions to minimise the potential impact on our clients and staff.

    Dealing with potentially disruptive events
    We have ensured that our staff have the ability to work from home if required and can remotely access our systems within a secure IT environment. We are also able to redirect work phone lines if required.

    Going Forward
    The Coronavirus pandemic is an ever-evolving situation and it is our intention to be guided by the experts at Public Health England. In the meantime, it is business as usual.
